Authorities are investigating a call received on Monday morning of a bomb threat at a building that is under construction at the Intel Corporation’s Ocotillo campus in Chandler.

The building was evacuated after the call was received at about 5:30 a.m. and that police and authorities at Intel are in the process of searching the building, Chandler police spokesman Seth Tyler said. The rest of the facility is still running, police said.

Tyler said authorities searching near the building “haven’t found anything” and that Intel has “been doing a lot of the search on their own.”

Authorities found no explosives after a bomb threat on Monday morning at a building under construction at the Intel Corporation’s Ocotillo Campus in Chandler.

The building was evacuated after a call was received at about 5:30 a.m. Police and authorities at Intel finished searching the building using bomb-sniffing canine units at about 2:30 p.m., Chandler police spokesman Seth Tyler said. The rest of the facility is still running, police said.

Tyler said authorities searching near the building did not find anything and that Intel had done a lot of the search on their own.

Construction workers working on the building were sent home around 10 a.m.

Bomb Scare At Rio Rancho's School Bus Depot

What kind of dumb ass calls in a bomb threat to the Rio Rancho school’s bus depot? The bomb threat was called in on Tuesday by someone with a “middle eastern accecent”. The bomb threat delayed school buses to the school and is about a half mile away from my house.

Police are apparently calling the case closed even though they do not know who called in the threat.

Bomb Threats In Albuquerque

There’s been quite a few bomb threats around town lately.

  • 08/31/07 – I believe there have been several of these bank related bomb threats.

    Police are searching for a white male, about 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, who touched off the bomb scare shortly after 4 p.m. The suspect walked into a doctor’s office on Juan Tabo, strapped “suspicious devices” onto a doctor and the doctor’s assistant, then marched the two into the bank, Albuquerque police spokeswoman Trish Hoffman said.

    Rio Rancho Department of Public Safety Spokesman John Francis said the bomb threat was called in to Rio Rancho’s 911 emergency line at about 7:40 a.m.

    A bomb threat called into the Sandia Peak tram closed business for about an hour on Saturday as authorities searched the restaurant located at the bottom of the mountain for explosives. After an investigation of the building, no explosives were found. However, authorities now have the phone number used to make the bomb threat because the Tram had caller ID.
