Phoenix police reported an 11 percent decrease in shots fired reports this New Year’s Eve and arrested three men on suspicion of unlawful discharge of a firearm, according to officials.

According to police, there were 264 reports of shots fired Monday evening into early Tuesday morning, a 65 percent drop from the 2002-03 New Year’s Eve, on which there were 759 reports of random gunfire.
