Piracy And The App Store

I was thinking about the 30% cut Apple gets from applications. It seems like a lot but is probably less or the same than what PalmGear charges for Palm apps. Besides the fact that there are no hosting or credit card charges, how will it help to keep piracy down?

If you buy the application from the itunes store and there’s no registrations to share, it should make it harder to pirate. What would stop some one from copying an application from one iPhone to another? Does the application become hard coded to the phone?
