I cannot think of a more nerdier subject. But I must confess my love for the Pentel Hybrid(R) Gel Grip RTX Retractable Pens. I happened to be checking out the supplies of the Admins in the other departments when I came across these little gems. Initially I picked up one but went back for a blue and a red. Now they are nearly depleted and the Admins didn’t order more.

These things are “Permanent, waterproof, fadeproof and acid-free”, have a “Convenient retractable tip”, and come in “Medium (0.7mm) and bold (1.0mm) points”. They write like heaven, although take a little time to dry. The retractable tip automatically retracts if you hang it on your shirt, plus it has a very noticeable clicky sound. Perfect for annoying people in meetings. Seriously, anytime someone borrows my pin they always note how nice the pen writes. Then look at me evil-y, and I have to snatch it back from those stealing bastards.

But good luck at finding them at your local Staples (I like Staples because there commercials are cooler). I guess I will go to Office Max and check.
